Republican Senators Block Homeless Veterans Bill?

Do you young Red-staters realize how little they think of you and your family? Yet they have no problem shoveling money, ILLEGALLY, to Israel, Pakistan, Bechtel, G.E., Wall Street etc.

** NOTE: This is in no way a plea for Democrat votes. I will bash them in upcoming posts.

In 1968 there were 450,000 American soldiers in Vietnam. The average age was 19 years old. They were young ,scared and freaked out by not only what they were experiencing but what they had been asked to do for their country.
According to information revealed by the Church and Pike commissions the CIA{ Air America}in conjunction with Hmong tribesmen distributed heroin to U.S. soldiers. This was then and is still today a rich source of covert cash for clandestine operations.
Afghanistan’s President has direct family connections to the Opium trade and that dark tradition is repeating itself.
In the sixties that was essentially a “liberals” war—a Misnomer really.
All our modern wars—ALL- have been essentially imperialist wars of conquest—markets, investments, cheap labor ,resources, the usual stuff– and have been fought and paid for by the working class to the exclusive benefit of the Owning class.
The emptiness of the Phrase support our troops is in no arena more apparent than in the treatment of the Damaged young who come home with PTS disorders, suicidal or homicidal tendencies , and drug/behavioral Problems.
They become superfluous because they no longer support wealth production.
Joseph Stiglitz { former World bank] has a new Book—the Three trillion dollar war- where he and his co- author go over some of this and much more.
“Republicans”… so called, are simply more skilled in what Orwell called double think. Projecting two contradictory ideas simultaneously: “Support our troops “and we are” rugged individuals standing on our own without a culture of dependency” yadda yadda.
Double think is really an emblem for our times.
But we don’t have to let these things go by without comment or direct action.
